OK well nobody else is going to start so I will...

I think that the creation account in the Bible should be taken as its read. I personally believe that the world was created in 7-24hr days, this is where we get the week from. Look at it like this, months are to do with the moon, years are to do with the sun but weeks - only the Bible. Also where you see number, evening and morning, it means 1-24hr day and thats how Gen 1 is written. How funny would it be if we had to work for 6million years and have a million years off in order to have a sabbath and keep it holy and to follow the system that God used and told us to use.

As for the age of the world I believe that the world is not millions of years old but thousands of years old. There are so many faults in the carbon dating system and so many assumptions having to be made that can you really believe the results?

And what is the reason behind having a very old earth? Its only so that we have the position of evolution and can therefore deny God and try prove that He is a myth.

Yes also if you look at the whole theory of evolution between man and monkey, the specimins they have that are more man like where actually discovered to have diseases which would have deformed their bones anyway! also there has never been found half of the ones shown in the classic monkey to people picture... They're just an artists interpritation

yeah, the evolutionists try every way possible to prove the Bible fake, but it is cool reading history how they were proven wrong every time! WHEN SCIENCE FAILS is a cool book all about that. I read it fr school.

the thing about evolution is that some of it DOES make sense, but at the sametime at court sometimes it makes sense if it is a perticular person who is guilty when actually it wasn't

Yeah, sometimes I don't know whether some of it might be the truth or not, as some scientists are fighting to be right. Then, sometimes they are Christian scientists, but if there is a saying from one, it doesn't always say 'By a Christian'. How are you to know what to believe?

As Christians we do need to realise that Science and Religion are not at war with each other, also they are not things that can't be mixed. God created Creation, science is just teh study of it, it can work in perfect harmony. However for the majority of christians and scientists alike for that matter it gets harder and harder between science being a study and science being a religion in itself.

I've never had a problem with the scientific explanations of stuff, including the creation. If God wants to make everything through the big bang, why shouldn't he? If he wants to create man through a process of evolution (or at least natural selection, which isn't the same thing), then why not?

Incidentally, there are two types of evolution - micro and macro. Micro evolution definitely happens, and describes the small changes that happen within a single species. Macro evolution is less certain, but would be the whole 'fish became monkeys became man' thing. That's the part of evolution I'm less convinced on. It might happen, but not without a push from God.

Parking

There is limited street parking by the Salvation Army hall. The Cathedral and Quay Car park is very close. There is also a car park by the Judge Jefferys pub off Magdalen Street and Western Way.
